Problems With The New Adobe Profiles in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop

I was going to write about something else, but as I started playing around with the new profiles in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and the new version of Camera RAW, I noticed something -- something that is definitely going to be a problem for me, and could be a problem for others who wish to use these new profiles. That problem, simply is: They don't transfer from Lightroom to Photoshop. In other words, a Profile applied to a photo in Lightroom Classic 7.3, then opened in Photoshop, does not look the same as it did in Lightroom. Here's my example. This first image was processed in Lightroom. I added the Profile "Camera Matching Landscape." It cleaned up a number of issues I'd had in the original edit, including cleaning up the general look of the small lights dotting the landscape in the distance.

But after applying that profile in Lightroom, if I open that image in Photoshop, things change.

The changes are subtle, for sure, but they're there. Let me point them out.

In this screenshot below, look at "A." There is considerably less contrast in the Lightroom-applied-profile image that has been opened in Photoshop.

Now check out all the ones marked "B." Note that each of the city lights, which had been rendered more toward the white side in the Lightroom-applied-profile image are now considerably more orange.

Nothing was changed in Photoshop. I simply opened the RAW file that had been edited with a profile applied in Lightroom. There is a significant difference.

To make matters worse, it does this even without having applied a profile in Lightroom. Any photo processed in Lightroom no longer looks the same when opened in Photoshop after Lightroom processing.

Here's another example. Again, this first image was processed in Lightroom 7.3, but without any profiles applied.

This next image is the same, but with the "Camera Matching Landscape" Profile applied. I think there is a definite improvement.

But . . .

This third image is the one with the "Camera Matching Landscape" Profile applied then opened in Photoshop.

Again, there is a huge difference in color and contrast.

That I can find, there is no way to correct the changes Photoshop is making in my Lightroom-processed images.

This is totally unacceptable. If anyone knows of a way to fix this, please let me know. I'd also like to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem.
